Jezebel (Hebrew: איזבל Izevel) was the wife of Ahab, king of Israel. Her marriage was arranged as an alliance of Israel and Zidon. She was the mother of Ahaziah, Jehoram, and Athaliah; who held the title of supreme ruler in the southern kingdom (Kingdom of Judah).
